The Good Localist
Bangkok is undoubtedly an evolving city, but it’s not only the infrastructure that is evolving, it’s also the mindset of people. Everyday, people are becoming more aware of the effects of their consumption habits on the environment.
‘The Good Localist’ aims to aid this conscious population in finding more sustainable brands around Bangkok. Overtime, this initiative also aims to inspire upcoming businesses in the region to be more sustainable and promote the UN’s SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.
The Event
The event will be held at The Hive, Thong Lo on 12th February and will consist of a panel discussion and a networking session. As a result, we will launch ‘The Good Localist’, a directory of sustainable brands for conscious consumers. Social Businesses may also apply to be included in the directory!
The Panel
What is the status of responsible production and consumption in Thailand? What are the initiatives being taken by social businesses and movements regarding this matter? All these questions will be discussed in the panel by our three panelists.
The Networking Session
Enjoy a free flow of traditional Thai and organic desserts and Yadong drinks while discussing how local businesses can promote sustainability. If you have a business and you want to increase it’s sustainability or if you are just passionate about social causes, this will be the place for you!
The Directory
It’s not easy finding sustainable brands around the city and we are hoping to change that! We are creating an online directory that includes all the sustainable brands in the city. The directory consists of categories such as:
Furthermore, social businesses may also apply to be included in the directory by attending the event and meeting these requirements:-
